The HPE Networking CW 2150 Switch Series delivers up to 176 Gbps of nonblocking bandwidth and up to 131 Mpps forwarding, with nine unit IRF stacking for resilient availability and link redundancy.
The CW 2150 series offers flexible connectivity with four 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks on the 16, 24, and 48 port models, and two 1G SFP plus two 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks on the 8 port model. The 24 port model adds four SFP combo ports.
Advanced Quality of Service (QoS), Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) and dynamic L3 protocols (RIP and OSPF) for reliable connectivity
It supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet and offers a fanless design on the 8‑, 24‑, and 48‑port non‑PoE models.
Built‑in 6 kV service‑port surge protection helps reduce the risk of power strikes in demanding environments such as construction sites.
Powerful PoE capabilities
The HPE Networking CW 2150 Switch Series provides 125 W, 248 W, 405 W, 390 W, and 770 W Class 4 PoE across the 8‑, 16‑, 24‑, and 48‑port models.
It supports advanced PoE features, including fast PoE that delivers power within seconds of system startup.
Perpetual PoE supports end‑device state monitoring to help maintain power during a power‑source reboot.
The PoE Watchdog function automatically removes power from a port when the connected device is no longer active.
Comprehensive security control
The HPE Networking CW 2150 Switch Series provides security features and network management for modern SMB environments. Secure boot verifies digital signatures to help prevent unauthorized or malicious software from loading at startup.
With HPE IMC, the CW 2150 series supports EAD by integrating terminal‑security policies, network‑access control, and access‑rights enforcement into a unified security framework.
It delivers multi‑layer access protection with granular ACLs (IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, port‑based), identity‑driven policies, and authentication options including 802.1X, MAC, Web, RADIUS, TACACS+, plus Guest VLAN detection and dual‑NIC detection with IMC.
The CW 2150 series provides encrypted access using SSHv2, SSL, SNMPv3, and TLS, along with role‑based privileges and audit logging.
Threat‑prevention features include Control Plane Policing (DoS protection), ARP and DHCP protection, ICMP throttling, port security, and source‑port filtering.
Simple and flexible management
The HPE Networking CW 2150 Switch Series offers Web GUI, industry‑standard CLI management and can be managed with other CW switches through a built-in dashboard for simplified deployment and centralized management.
Advanced management options include HPE Intelligent Management Center (IMC), HPE Networking Management Software (AirWave), SNMP managers, and REST APIs for integration with existing customer dashboards.
